January Jones returned to the ’60s this week — and no, it wasn’t to reprise her role as Betty Draper on “Mad Men.” Instead, Jones channeled a distinctly vintage style while enjoying a pool day at home.
Posing outside on instagram, the Emmy-nominated actress wore a cream bikini by Marysia. Contemporary bathing suits featured a top with a deep neckline and a front tie, as well as high-waisted gathered bottoms. The set was also covered in a black polka dot print, dotted as if painted in watercolor.
Jones’ choice accessories included a wide-brimmed woven hat by Lack of Color, chunky gold Uncommon Matters hoop earrings and a set of black white-framed Marni sunglasses, all adding to the retro appeal of his outfit. She finished her outfit with a deep coral lip.
“102• RIP my grass,” Jones captioned the photo, playfully mourning the death of his lawn from the heat outside.
As for shoes, the “Politician” actress’s shoes weren’t visible. However, it’s likely that she went barefoot or wore a pair of flat sandals or slip-on slides to the pool. Both pairs have become top trends for swimwear this summer, along with molded and flat styles from brands such as Birkenstock. However, stars like Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Simpson have also proven that for a whimsical and glamorous look, wedge heels and wedge heels can also be worn with swimwear.
Jones’ outfit continued her edgy swimwear streak, as she often shares photos of her poolside outfit with her fans on social media. During one notable instance in July, she posed in a red bikini top and denim shorts – accessorized sweetly with curved aviator sunglasses and a gold pendant necklace.
When it comes to footwear, the ‘Last Man on Earth’ star’s styles tend to be contemporary and vintage-inspired.
